These verses have been rolling around in my mind for several days. In the rush of daily life with its myriad pressures and dizzying activities let us on this Lord’s Day make time to sit at the feet of the Lord Jesus and gaze upon Him with loving adoration:
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Lord help those who are called by your name to remain steadfast and earnest as we contend for the Gospel that was once and for all delivered unto the saints; as we endeavor to glorify You with whatever gifts You’ve seen fit to bestow upon us; as we edify our fellow believers and as we exhort the sinner who in his folly has said in his heart, “there is no God”. Amen.
