Profane Prophets

As I’ve written before there are many common themes which are interwoven throughout the seemingly disparate emergent/emerging, seeker sensitive, purpose driven, and word faith movements.

In my article entitled “Deathwish” I wrote:

Like many other believers I’ve noticed the most common theme among the Emergent/Emerging, Seeker Sensitive, and Purpose Driven church growth apostates is their man-centered gospel. They continually look within themselves for the answers to life’s problems and circumstances as opposed to looking outward and upward toward God and seeking Him in His Word. Of course they’ll drizzle a little Jesus on top of their man-centered spiritual buffet – take what you want and leave the rest! – and they’ll flavor it with a dash of “church speak”, but in the end it’s the same old hell spawned anti-theology that the devil has been dusting off and trotting out in various forms in order to deceive sinful men for ages.

More recently however I’ve begun to notice the correlation between the aforementioned groups and the occult. Their self-esteem building workshops, their “hero within” fetishes, and their positive confessions can all be traced back to the most ancient origins of witchcraft and occultism.

I’m guessing that some of you who have just seen me compare the emergent/emerging, seeker sensitive and purpose driven cabal to occultists are grumbling a bit or perhaps shaking your head in disagreement, but don’t be too hasty. The fact of the matter is that God Almighty views rebellion against His Word in the same way He views witchcraft and idolatry. It’s my hope that by the end of this post you will see that at the rotten root of the aforementioned groups, as well as their spiritually compromising compatriots in the word-faith community, is a man-centered non-gospel of deception. They have replaced a high and lofty view of God’s revealed Word with a watered down, corrupted man-centered perversion of their own demonic design.  The scriptures and the Gospel are God-centered, not man-centered and to miss this critical truth is to invert the whole of Christianity.  God’s divine revelation to man is to God’s glory alone and serves to make sinful man aware of how utterly hopeless and desperate he really is apart from pity, mercy, love and compassion of the One True and Living God, the infinite Creator and Judge of the universe.  Biblical Christianity is the story of God’s merit and achievement in Jesus Christ, the truth that stands over and against all the false and idolatrous religions of man’s merit and achievement in his own filthy works righteousness which represents every other religion apart from Biblical Christianity.  The one true and pure religion of Biblical Christianity is God-centric and God exalting, whereas all the various streams of the one false and corrupted religion of self-righteousness are man-centric and man exalting.

Apostasy Now!

Friends I’m convinced that the great last days apostasy has fallen upon the broader professing church. With the combination of the emergent/emerging idolatry of doubt, the Word of Faith blasphemy against our Lord, the rise of ecumenism among the heretical Roman Catholic Church and apostatizing Evangelicals, the Purpose Driven Madness of the Warrenites, the Seeker Sensitive man-centered church of self esteem, the lying signs and wonders movement, and the inroads that New Age thought have made into the church it’s my firm conviction that we are witnessing, on a broad scale, the great falling away prophesied in scripture.

Now I’m no prophet and I’m not pretending to have any “new light” about the events of our day, I’m merely relaying what I believe to be the Old Truth that was laid down for the benefit of those who are called by the Name of the Lord.

Consider the following from Herescope:

Throughout this inter-advent age–the time between Jesus’ Incarnation and Second Coming, or Parousia–Jesus and John warned that false prophets would arise preaching the doctrine of replacement christs (Matthew 24:5, 23-24; 1 John 2:18). As Jesus’ coming draws nearer, and as pictured by the image of Messiah’s birth pangs, we can expect that oracular announcements of anti-christs by the false prophets will multiply and proliferate. Some of these false messiahs will even work deceptive “signs and wonders” (Mark 13:8, 21-22). During this age Jesus warned: “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not” (Matthew 24:23-26, KJV).

Countercult Corner: Mormonism & Freemasonry

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them” – Ephesians 5:11

I found the following resources to be quite informative on the matter of the undeniable influence of Freemasonry upon Mormonism:

The link between the Mormon Temple Ceremony and Freemasonry

As the websites above demonstrate, these two religious institutions are inextricably linked. There are, of course, numerous other examples but these should suffice as sources of edification for true born-again Christians who hold even a cursory knowledge of Mormonism and Freemasonry.

Below is additional information on the myriad scriptural problems with Freemasonry:
